Magic U15G team made their first trip to Southern California and finished the weekend with 3-0-0 record. The girls earned consistent progress over the course of the year due to the tremendous work ethic, positive team atmosphere and commitment from players, families and our Magic staff.

The team started the season with a goal of peaking in November and they systematically worked on their game model. Excelling in this elite competition was no surprise to the team as they continued to improve and build on their successful 2017 season which saw them learn from success and challenges in US Club Regionals, Rage College Showcase & Mustang Stampede Tournament. Each of those events along with the league was vital stepping stone in their quest for peak performance in San Diego.

"We started the season with focus on our team's collective build up play when we have the ball and defensive play when the opponents have the ball. This meant two things, in the Summer and early Fall, we were able to bring the ball indirectly out from the back well and we conceded few goals. However, this meant that we did have games where we felt we deserved more based on how we played but we just didn't score enough goals. Then in the Fall we shifted our focus to working on creating and finishing goalscoring opportunities and this is when our team's total game came together," sums up head coach Haris.

The girls scored 19 goals in the last four games of the 2017 and allowed only 1. They outscored opponents in San Diego nine to one.

03G played two Southern California teams and one Minnesota team at Surf. Magic team topped their group by overcoming SGV Surf (5:1), Blues ECNL (1:0) and Minnesota Eclipse (3:0).

Girls are preparing for the Las Vegas Showcase in March of 2018!
