California Magic boys players were well represented in recent high school league and North Coast Section (NCS) championships for Acalanes High School, Division 2, and Berkeley High School Division 1.

Acalanes High School Boys Soccer finished their season with a 20-2-4 record and as Diablo Athletic League champions. In NCS post season play, the Acalanes Dons won the Division 2 championship game 1-0 in double overtime competing with tough Montgomery High School rival after winning games against Casa Grande, Campolindo and Richmond High Schools.

Not to be out done by their Magic-Acalanes teammates, three Magic players from Berkeley High School finished a fantastic season with an impressive 22-2-2 record, earning them the West Alameda County Conference (WACC) league championship and the NCS Division 1 championship. In NCS post season play, Berkeley won the Division 1 championship game 4-3 in a thrilling overtime penalty kicks shootout competing with perennial powerhouse De La Salle. On the way to the final, Berkeley came out on top of Granada, Foothill and San Ramon Valley High Schools.

California Magic congratulates all ten boys on their successful high school campaigns!

All our Magic high school age players have already reunited with all their Magic teammates and are ramping up their training in preparation for the Las Vegas Players Tournament; boys March 10-12 and girls March 17-19.

Go Magic!
